Board of Directors

As with all credit unions, Health Care Credit Union is a non-profit cooperative with a volunteer board of directors elected from and by the membership.  The Board of Directors serves as the governing body of the credit union approving all credit union operations.

Elizabeth (Dede) Cummings

Dede is a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor and Independent Clinical Supervisor for Affinity Behavioral Health. She has been employed there for 23 years. Dede joined Health Care Credit Union in 1988 and has served our Board of Directors since 1995. She is currently serving as the Board Chairperson.

Ted Bowen

Ted is a lifelong resident of Oshkosh with a Journalism degree. He also served for five years in the United States Air Force. After more than 20 years working for Service Litho Print, he retired in 2009. Ted is very active in yachting and has served on multiple board of directors. He as been a member of Health Care Credit Union for more than 30 years. Ted was elected to the Board of Directors in 2011 and is currently serving as Vice Chair.​​

Paula Pedretti

Paula is a staff nurse at Winnebago Mental Health Institute. She previously worked as an employee of Health Care Credit Union before getting her nursing degree at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Paula joined Health Care Credit Union in 1996 and joined the Board of Directors in 2010. She is currently serving as Secretary.

Kim Jones Verstegen

Kim has been a member of Health Care Credit Union since 1988. She graduated from UW-Stout with a Bachelor's degree and also from UW-Oshkosh with a Master's degree. Kim is a past member of Noon Optimist, a Board member of the Florence Webster Allen Education Foundation, a former member of AVA Alliance for Volunteer Agencies/Oshkosh and a former 4-H leader for Golden Oak. She is currently the Volunteer Coordinator for the State of Wisconsin Board of Aging Long Term Care. Kim was born and raised on a farm in Pickett, WI. She is married to Tom and they have four children; Connor, Lydia, Clayton and Laura. She was elected to the position in 2012 and is serving as a Director.

Sue Hammerseng

Susan was born and raised in Kaukauna, WI and moved to Oshkosh permanently after attending UW Oshkosh. Sue earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from UWO. She has worked at Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh for 27 years as the Housing Services Coordinator for the Simeannas, which is housing for low income elderly subsidized by HUD. Sue has two children: Jenna, who is also a UWO graduate, and Shane, who is a UW-Lacrosse graduate.

Susan has been a member of Health Care Credit Union for 27 years.
